Lebanon

Established in 2009 in Beirut, AC MAS has franchises in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt and Portugal. It is a member of the International Soroban Diffusion Foundation (ISDF) in Japan, has a cooperation agreement with Shin Soroban Gakushujuku, and is the franchisor and exclusive distributor of Daiichi Co. (Japan) for Banshu soroban and brain-development games.

• AC MAS Annual Conference for heads of schools and centres in Lebanon and Arab franchise countries
• AC MAS Soroban Competition
• AC MAS Summer Colony (July–August), with 8 hours of soroban a week alongside sports, cultural and outdoor activities
• AC MAS soroban activity broadcast by NHK (Japan) and in a TV Tokyo documentary
• Coverage on Gulf-region TV (Saudi Arabia, UAE) and Lebanese channels LBC, MTV, Télé Liban and Al Jadeed
• 15 students attended the ISDF Summer Soroban Camp in Japan — 2013
• Children’s festivals across Lebanon; international educational exhibition in Saudi Arabia
• UNESCO exhibition, with Dr. Hadi Hamza speaking at the Private School Conference
• Teacher training twice a year
