The published programme describes four training stages in Taipei, Taiwan. Each stage generally takes around twenty hours, but the duration varies. Completing the stage matters rather than meeting a fixed number of hours. The programme develops teachers’ classroom techniques and subject knowledge.
Each stage covers roughly two years of student progress. The sessions are intensive, and attendees are expected to practise afterwards. The published programme names PAMA founder David Liao and other PAMA trainers as instructors, with a certificate endorsed by the Secretariat on completion.
